The following newsletters were produced by the Beck Institute on Religion and Poverty.

  • 2015 saw the introduction of the Sanctuary Model ® to program our curriculum infusing our programs with a unifying language and concepts for coping and recovery from trauma.
  • A 3 year grant to support building an institute for replication to support people in transition from an anonymous funder, with other supportive contributions contributing to furthering this effort. Please see the Summer 2015 for more information.
  • Academic Highlights: Notable achievements for all programs each year are due to our talented and committed Beck team of capacity builders, including GSS MSW and PhD students.
  • The ongoing developments for our faith-based community programs for the post-incarcerated, survivors of intimate partner violence, veterans and homeless has been possible because of our community collaborators: Catholic Charities, Xavier Mission, Reformed Church of Bronxville, Riverside Church, Metro-Baptist Church, Interfaith Assembly for Housing and Homelessness and the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship-Poughkeepsie.
