Mentoring Latinas Program Goals

What are the goals of Mentoring Latinas? How are they measured?

Goal 1: To increase mentees' educational achievement and aspirations

Measure: School attendance, grades, teacher comments, mentee feedback about educational goals

Goal 2: To have mentees identify with their mentors;

Measure: Year-end mentee feedback about relationship with mentor and future educational plans

Goal 3: To increase mentees' identification with and pride in their Hispanic culture;

Measure: Bi-dimensional Acculturation Scale (BAM) and Multigroup Ethnic Identification Measure (MEIM)

Goal 4: To increase mentees' sense of empowerment

Measure: Measure - Empowerment Scale
