GSAS Graduate Student Council Graduate Body for Cultural Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

The Graduate Body for Cultural Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (CDEI) is a student organization devoted to the success of historically minoritized groups in attaining advanced degrees, careers, and positions of leadership.

Our mission is to build a university network that is innovative, powerful, inclusive, and committed to equitably advancing students of all cultural backgrounds. We accomplish this mission by the following:

• Building a vital community of underrepresented individuals and allies at Fordham;
• Promoting a more inclusive graduate body by fostering a culture that deeply values diversity and equity;
• Providing training opportunities tailored towards underrepresented graduate students; and
• Connecting the next generation of underrepresented talent to our cadre of competent graduate mentors.

At CDEI, we are dedicated to fostering an academic community that fully welcomes and nurtures the growth of graduate students representing any racial and ethnic background. We understand that diverse voices bring creative solutions to our world’s most pressing problems, and we strive to foster this value at Fordham and beyond its gates.
