Patrick Cullinan is deeply interested in Catholicism and its interaction with American culture, having rediscovered the faith during his time at Fordham and later received the sacrament of confirmation at the University Church. Cullinan and his research partner Jay Doherty built an oral history which explored the discernment process across several generations of American Jesuits.

Jay Doherty is a reporter for WFUV, the university's NPR radio station. His and Patrick Cullinan’s multi-generational oral history of American Jesuits culminated in a short documentary.


Amelia Medved (FCRH 2023)
A Breathing Place: Sanctified Burial Sites in New York City Public Spaces (book publication)
Major: Environmental Studies and Visual Arts
Amelia Medved is passionate about environmental advocacy, specifically with a focus on parks equity and community-based ecological stewardship. Her research explored the use of public spaces as burial sites by religious communities throughout New York City.

Concentration: Creative Writing
Madison Morris strives to create characters, situations, images that make readers ponder a question instead of rushing toward an answer. For her Duffy Fellow project, Morris authored and illustrated an original graphic novel revisiting the Biblical story of the Garden of Eden.
