Fall New Student Orientation at Lincoln Center

The New Student Orientation Team is excited to welcome you to Fordham during Orientation on Sunday, August 23! Below is the schedule information for New Student Orientation and some important logistical details, so read on!

Sunday Orientation sessions will begin with virtual welcome remarks from Fr. McShane, President of Fordham University at 4 p.m. ET. Students will gather virtually in their small groups for the remarks which will be followed by short Orientation virtual programming. Students will receive Zoom links from their Orientation Leaders prior to the program.

If you have chosen to take your classes in a hybrid format, we look forward to having you on campus for Orientation! If you have chosen to take all of your classes online this semester and are able to come to campus, you are welcome to attend in person. If you are unable to attend in person, you will be able to participate in Orientation virtually for Student Life Day on Monday, August 24, and Academic Orientation on Tuesday, August 25.

For Student Life Day on Monday, August 24, please sign up for the time slot that works best for you via Fordham University Tickets. All times listed are in EDT, so please note the start and end times of each session when signing up. Content during each session will be identical, and you only need to sign up for one.

In order to register for your session of choice, you must make a Fordham University Tickets account. You may register with your my.fordham.edu account, or create a “General Public” account.

Please note that you will not be able to switch time slots after signing up for one. The number of available seats for each in-person option is limited due to current social distancing guidelines, and so we will not be able to accommodate anyone over our capacity limit. If your first choice session has filled up, please register for another session. Attendance will be checked at each session, so please only arrive for the session for which you are signed up for with your E-Ticket, or a printed out copy of your ticket with QR Code.

On Tuesday, August 25, each college will host its own Academic Orientation programming. Please be on the lookout from your class dean this week for more information.

While meals will not be served as part of the Orientation program, on-campus dining facilities will be open and operating under current social distancing guidelines.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

We look forward to seeing you next Sunday!

Best,
The New Student Orientation Team
