Hailing originally from England, raised in Indiana, and a longtime resident of the New England area, Claire is a Doctoral student in Christianity in Antiquity. She holds a BA in Fine Arts from Marian University and both a Master of Theological Studies (MTS) and a Master of Theology (ThM) from Boston College School of Theology and Ministry. Her research interests revolve around the Alexandrian School, Nag Hammadi Codices, Orthodox Christian Studies, Reception History, and Gender Theory, with a particular interest in the interplay between practices of resistance and theological development within historically marginalized communities. In her free time she enjoys training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, open water swimming, and writing icons.
