MLL Volunteering and Internships

Students interested in pursuing internship, employment, and volunteer opportunities related to modern languages, linguistics, and literatures should consult the organizations listed below.

Arabic

Council on Foreign Relations. CFR’s volunteer internships give selected volunteer interns the opportunity to receive training in the area of foreign policy; as well as skills training in areas such as writing, research, and program planning.

Arab American Association of New York. An organization that serves the social and economic needs of the Arab community in Bay Ridge and surrounding neighborhoods of Brooklyn. The organization provides a number of services including adult education, youth development, and mental health services.

African Communities Together. An organization of African immigrants that provides services to support social and economic integration, including immigration support and jobs.

African Film Festival, Inc. An organization dedicated to advancing the understanding of African culture through film. The festival is held annually in NYC and welcomes volunteers.

The Endangered Language Alliance.
