Events and Activities

Many of the events and activities in Queen’s Court continue in the legacy of Jesuit Father Joseph Koterski, SJ, who assisted in the foundation of Queen’s Court nearly a half century ago. The events and activities of the Queen's Court Integrated Learning Community aim to challenge ideas, expand horizons, promote reflection, and enhance community.

The following are signature programs unique to Queen’s Court:

Knight Court

One of the most popular programs, Knight Court gives residents an opportunity to speak on a topic or demonstrate a skill or talent of their choosing. Residents are expected to attend two of the four weekly sessions, held Monday through Thursday at 10 p.m.

Art Court

Art Court gives resident actors, musicians, artists, photographers, poets, and orators a chance to showcase the fruits of their creative labors. Art Court is held each year in the spring.

Queen's Court Awards Night

Awards Night recognizes members of the Queen’s Court community who have best demonstrated the spirit and standards of the residential college. This night occurs at the end of each academic year.

NYC Cultural Outings

Cultural Events at Queen’s Court assists students in arranging for subsidized and reduced-price tickets to Broadway musicals, improvisational theater, the New York Philharmonic, and ballet and opera performances. Tickets average $20.

Bagel Brunch with The New York Times

Bagel Brunch with The New York Times gives residents an opportunity to socialize with one another and to relax. Meets in the lounge on Sunday mornings from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. In addition to these distinctive Queen’s Court traditions, numerous other opportunities are provided to foster the spiritual, academic, social, and cultural lives of the residents.

How to Apply

Should you wish to live in Queen’s Court, please understand the commitment you are making to participate actively in creating a dynamic community. Queen’s Court is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis dependent on the date and time that the housing application is submitted. If you are interested in Queen’s Court Residential College, please indicate your preference in the online Housing Application.
