Chat Support for Students
Meet Remy! Your text-message guide to Fordham, available 24/7.
Fordham is launching a new texting service this fall, and we'd like you to meet the pigeon behind it! Remy is a really good friend of Ramses, and starting this semester, you two will be texting.
Remy will check in during the year, answer your questions, and connect you to the right people and resources when you need them. It is also an excellent way for us to hear directly from you and make sure your voice is part of the conversation!

Remy FAQs
Have questions about Remy? We may have some answers below.
-
Remy sends a friendly "hello" to every first-year and sophomore student at the start of each semester.
After that, expect a check-in about once a week, whether it’s asking about how you're doing, sharing important campus updates, or inviting your feedback on topics we'd love to hear from students like you!
-
Remy texts from 1 (855) 694-0824. You'll receive a message at the start of the semester, so save that number! Just make sure your mobile number is up to date in the student portal under emergency contact information labeled "self," so you don't miss anything. Your number must be a US number to receive texts from Remy.
If you'd like to save a photo for Remy in your messaging app, download this image and assign it to the contact.
-
If you are a first-year or sophomore Fordham College or Gabelli School of Business undergraduate student and aren't receiving texts, double-check three things: your mobile number is up to date in the student portal under emergency contact information labeled "self," your phone isn't blocking unknown numbers, and you have a valid US phone number.
If everything looks good and it's still not working, reach out to [email protected] for support.
-
Your conversations with Remy aren't anonymous. If you share something that suggests you're struggling, a staff member at Fordham may follow up to make sure you're connected with the right support. Remy is here to help, but for anything urgent or important, reach out to your human support system at Fordham.

Remy does its best, but it's still a chatbot and won't always have the right answer. If something seems off or Remy can't help, please reach out to [email protected] for the right information and to alert us to the gap.
-
