Office of Community Affairs

Fordham's Office of Community Affairs builds connections between Fordham University's campuses and students, faculty, staff and alumni with external community organizations, institutions, and community members. Through volunteering, convening conversations, creating diverse programming on and off campus and participating in local civic life, Fordham is a relevant neighbor in our campus homes in New York City, Westchester and beyond.

Let us know how we can connect with you, support you or build community together.

Fordham's Office of Community Affairs launched Fordham Volunteers in Fall 2025, a new program designed to connect Fordham students with projects that are guided by the needs of our local community partners.

Why Get Involved:

  • Make Friends: Meet fellow students who care about making a difference and build lasting friendships.
  • Grow as a Leader: Develop leadership skills through hands-on volunteer opportunities, reflection, and community building activities.
  • Strengthen Career Skills: Gain real-world experience in a variety of different fields that will prepare students for their future careers.
  • Create Meaningful Change and Give Back: Work on projects that are shaped by the vision and needs of our community partners.
