Via Fordham is an alternate path to a Fordham University undergraduate degree program for select students who require academic English language support. Path 1 is the best choice for applicants who are interested in attending college in the USA but have not completed the Common App for college admissions.

As a Via Fordham student, you will:

  • Strengthen the skills you need to perform well in college-level classes.
  • Earn college credits you can put toward your degree.
  • Live in New York City, meet locals, and discover American culture.

    • Online Application and the $50 application fee
    • Letter of Recommendation
    • Statement of Purpose
    • Official Transcript(s). Three years of transcripts, including current year-to-date transcript.
    • English Language Proficiency Test Results
    • Your online application portal includes the option to upload your passport, AFCOE, and Bank Statement.  These documents are required for your student visa application (see Via Fordham Student Visa).  You may submit your AFCOE and Bank Statement after you receive your admissions decision.  If you have any questions, please contact [email protected].

  • For Spring Semester (January) Enrollment

  • How to Apply for Via Fordham
    1. Apply for Via Fordham before the application deadline.
    2. Begin Via Fordham.
      • Go to Via Fordham orientation  before your program begins:
        • Spring 2024: January 12, 2024
        • Summer 2024: June 20, 2024
        • June 20, 2024: August 26, 2024
      • Attend Via Fordham classes on the following dates:
        • Spring 2024: January 16, 2024 - May 10, 2024
        • Summer 2024: June 24 - August 9, 2024
        • Fall 2024: August 28 - Dec 10, 2024
    3. Complete Via Fordham Classes.
      • Earn 6 to 9 academic credits in 1 to 2 semesters.
      • Earn at least a B+ in all classes and pass the Fordham English Language Test (FELT).
    4. Enroll at Fordham University.
      • Begin Fordham undergraduate studies the semester after you successfully complete Via Fordham!
