Biography

Anna is a doctoral student in the History of Christianity, specializing in the late antique and Byzantine periods. Her research interests include Christian rhetoric on gender and sexuality, as well as the literary portrayal of sanctity and domestic violence in Byzantine hagiographies. She is especially interested in how this form of story-telling shaped the lives of late antique and Byzantine women. Hailing from Colorado, Anna also enjoys hiking, drinking a craft IPA with friends, and collecting fossils. She currently resides in West Harlem with her spouse.
