Biography

Nick is a first-year master’s student with a concentration in Modern/Contemporary Church History. He is interested in how the Vatican and the Catholic Church in America interacted throughout different eras of American History, especially the intersection of the Vatican/US relationship within conflicts throughout America’s history along with this impact upon American society politically, socially, culturally, and spiritually.

Nick originally attended Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pa where he played football for a year before retiring and making his way back to his hometown of Columbus, OH to attend OSU. There he specialized in Marketing and minored in History. Upon graduating he entered into his family business and learned from the greatest group of individuals ever assembled since the 1992 US men’s Olympic basketball team. He worked for two years learning from the best and racking up a plethora of experiences along the way before finding himself in one of the greatest cities in the world besides Columbus, Ohio…NYC.

He is a former indoor volleyball team captain of a “better than their record showed” team, an average golfer, above average putt-putt player, and an even better frolf enthusiast. He continues in his glory days playing football in the city trying to avoid injuries and thriving in Madden. His tennis acumen has apparently only increased since going to Arthur Ashe for the first time, yet not playing actual tennis in months. He is also continuing to play basketball, yet as he says not very often, because his cardio is not great. He is a massive cinephile, loves to cook, read (audiobooks since beginning this program because he reads enough assigned books), and enjoys a wide variety of good music.
