Born and raised in the Bronx, New York, Elvira (they/them/theirs) has been a Resident Director at Fordham University since October 2025. Before joining Fordham, they spent three years as an Area Coordinator, guiding residential communities and promoting student engagement and personal growth. Elvira earned a Bachelor of Arts in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Forensic Psychology at Monroe University. Their professional interests center on mental health, substance misuse advocacy, and empowering students through a holistic perspective that recognizes the connection between personal well-being, academic success, and community. In their free time, Elvira enjoys spending time with their siblings and husband, traveling, watching films, cosplaying, and playing Dungeons & Dragons with friends.

Off-campus houses are staffed by a Resident Director and Resident Assistants and are maintained by the University. The Belmont Community Housing program offers similar services and benefits as those offered within the on-campus housing program, coupled with the independence of off-campus living.

Getting to your off-campus residence at night is made extremely safe through the Late Night Shuttle Service, offered by the Security Department. Available every night from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., this service is free for all Fordham students, faculty, and staff.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Steve Lawrence is a dedicated leader passionate about service, leadership, and professional growth. He has served as the Resident Director of Belmont Community Housing for the past four years. Steve earned his bachelor's degree in Global Studies and Political Science from Providence College, where he served as a Resident Assistant and held several student leadership positions. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in Corporate Compliance at Fordham University while preparing for a career in compliance and the legal profession.

A Connecticut native, Shanale Cordero brings warmth, energy, and a student-centered approach to her role as a Resident Director at Fordham University. Shanale earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut and her master’s degree from Florida International University in sunny Miami, Florida. Her experience supporting students at several institutions has strengthened her commitment to building residential communities where students feel welcomed, connected, and empowered to grow. As a first-generation college graduate and a bilingual Spanish speaker, she is especially passionate about fostering a sense of belonging and helping students feel at home throughout their college experience.

Sara Anna Venturini serves as an Assistant Resident Director. She is a 2026 graduate of Fordham University, where she earned a double major in Integrative Neuroscience and Psychology and completed an Honors Concentration in American Catholic Studies. During her time at Fordham, she served as a Resident Assistant, worked with the Fordham football Sports Medicine team, volunteered as an EMT and Medical Executive Officer of Supplies with Fordham University Emergency Medical Services (FUEMS), and was a Research Assistant in the Youth Development in Diverse Contexts Lab. Originally from Italy, Sara Anna enjoys baking, hiking, and swimming.

Wilshire Plaza offers security for your personal safety. The building also has a comprehensive fire-safety system, including sprinklers and control panel with a public address system.

There is an attendant at the lobby front desk 24/7, where mail is accepted for the residents. There is a phone in each apartment connected to the front desk for all guests or deliveries, which need to be given permission to enter and you must be present for in your apartment.

The Graduate Hall Manager is responsible for overseeing 89 apartments at our off-campus housing complex Wilshire Plaza on West 58th Street. Wilshire Plaza housing is available for any full-time graduate or law student at Fordham University.

Chrishane, a Chicago native, holds an MA in Counseling from Northwestern University, a BA in Psychology from Boston University, and is currently a Counseling Ph.D., Candidate in the Graduate School of Education at Fordham University. She has a passion for mental health, social justice, and engaging with students. Chrishane has experience in residence life at both the secondary and post-secondary education levels and is excited to be a part of the Fordham Community!

Emma Kakaley has been a Resident Director in the Office of Residential Life at Fordham University since October 2025, overseeing Loschert Hall, a first-year residence hall, and working to create a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging community for new students. Originally from Millville, PA, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Lebanon Valley College and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Data Science and Quantitative Economics at Fordham University. Emma enjoys building meaningful connections with students and supporting their growth throughout their college experience. In her free time, she loves traveling, watching movies, reading, and time with friends.

The staff consists of one resident director, four undergraduate resident assistants, and one faculty-in-residence. Together, staff and faculty work diligently to expand each resident's intellectual, spiritual, social, and cultural growth within the residential setting, complementing the academic experience.

Benjamin (Ben) Mendoza most recently joined our staff to serve as the Resident Director of Loyola and Faber Halls this summer. Ben earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Bachelor of Science in Human Services from California State University, Fullerton. He completed his Master of Arts in Postsecondary Educational Leadership and Student Affairs at San Diego State University. Ben approaches his work through the lens of his identity as a first-generation, low-income, Latino man from Orange County, California. Through the eye-opening introduction of identity-based support and community in his graduate school experience, he began to find his passion for holistically assisting underserved and underrepresented students in higher education.

Martyrs’ Court is staffed by a team of resident assistants and a resident director, providing activities and events traditional to the college experience.

Andrea Hernandez (she/her/ella) began serving as the Resident Director for Martyr's Court - LaLande, Goupil & Jogues Halls in July 2026. Andrea is a seasoned Residence Life professional, having recently graduated with a Master's of Arts in Education from Villanova University. Andrea earned her undergraduate degree at Penn State University. Andrea is excited to step into this new role and build community with the residents and student leaders of Martyr's Court.

Each McKeon first-year student will have both a resident assistant and a resident first-year mentor dedicated to easing the transition to college. The live-in staff is entrusted with creating community and shaping a positive living experience through which residents can succeed academically, first and foremost, and to develop as a whole person.

Savanah joined Fordham's Office of Residential Life team as a Resident Director in October 2021.  She currently supervises and leads a team of 12 Resident Assistants and Resident First-Year Mentors in McKeon Hall.  Savanah focuses on creating a collaborative, communicative, and purpose-driven environment where residents are able to creatively express their truest selves and develop the skills needed to "go forth and set the world on fire." She also seeks to make the first-year experience one that is conducive to growth, learning, exploration, and connection to themselves, their peers, the university, and the world around them.

Savanah Manos is a graduate of Fordham University Lincoln Center where she received her Master’s in the Science of Teaching under the Graduate School of Education in 2021. She also earned her Bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in Theatre from Fordham University in 2020. During her time as a student, Savanah worked with a diverse student population across first-year, upper-class, and graduate students as both a Resident Assistant and a Resident First-Year Mentor. Savanah also spent time working with Fordham’s Undergraduate Admissions office during her tenure as a student organizing & recruiting student ambassadors and supporting admissions counselors. In addition to a passion for the Fordham community, Savanah brings her unique experiences and skill sets garnered from working for both the New York City Department of Education and the Walt Disney Company in recent years.

Jassadi Moore is a Resident Director of First Years in McKeon Hall. She is currently supervising a total of twelve Resident Assistants and Resident First-Year Mentors and advises Residence Hall Association (RHA). Jassadi is passionate about student advocacy and sense of belonging on campus. As a first-generation minority college student, she is devoted to highlighting equity and diversity within her work. She loves working with all students and is continuously bringing her positive energy into the spaces she enters, because impact and interpersonal connections is what drives her in the world of higher education.

Jassadi Moore is a recent Master's graduate from Rutgers University studying Student Affairs and Higher Education. During her time at Rutgers, she worked in Reslife as a Program Coordinator for an international student program, Global Roommates Program. She was also a Graduate Assistant at the Paul Robeson Cultural Center, which focused on programming and opportunities for Black student experiences on campus. She served as an ACUHO-I intern just across the street at Juilliard in the summer of 2022, so she’s excited to be back in the Lincoln Center area. She is originally from Ann Arbor, MI and got her bachelor degrees from Michigan State University in 2018; double majoring in Arts & Humanities, and Human Development & Family Studies, with a minor in Peace & Justice. Jassadi is looking forward to continuing her explorations on the East Coast. Jassadi is passionate about the arts and uplifting communities! She also has a dog named Blanco who is just as excited to be part of the Fordham team.

Mallory Kravitz (she/her) is working towards completing her Master's in Strategic Leadership and holds a bachelor's degree in Sociology from Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania. Mallory has a background in Residence Life both as an undergraduate RA and professional staff member at Shippensburg, as well as experience in Undergraduate Admissions with Elizabethtown College in Pennsylvania. Mallory strives to create a fun, safe, and nurturing environment where all students feel welcome and valued. One of her biggest goals is to give students the room to challenge themselves and grow into their fullest potential, so they can continue to be the best humans possible. Mallory believes in seeking discomfort, which is a key element in her mentorship and leadership. Mallory is ecstatic to be a part of the Fordham family, and brings plenty of enthusiasm, joy, and energy along with her.

Rachel Rivera (she/her) is a McMahon Hall Resident Director supervising nine Resident Assistants on floors 11 through 20. She is a graduate of Rider University where she received her Master of Arts degree in Counseling Services with a concentration in school counseling. At Rider, she served as a Graduate Community Director for three years. Rachel earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Montclair State University where she studied Psychology with minors in Social Work and Child Advocacy & Policy. Since joining the world of Residence Life in 2018, Rachel has been a dedicated member of the community. She has worked at several institutions, creating meaningful relationships and developing inclusive environments.

Rachel prides herself on her person-centered approach to leadership. She believes that human connection and kindness are the keys to success and beauty in life. Her biggest passion is helping guide future leaders throughout their collegiate careers and beyond. She seeks to encourage a fun and safe environment for all to grow through their college experience. In her free time, you can find Rachel enjoying the Jersey shore or exploring the city.

O'Hare's staff consists of two resident directors, 13 resident assistants, and two Jesuits-in-residence. These staff members encourage all students to share in the goals of living in a residential college and of a Jesuit education, helping residents develop a sense of community and citizenship that will serve them well beyond graduation.

A native of Brooklyn, New York, Sojourner Coles has served as a Resident Director in the Office of Residential Life at Fordham University for nearly four years. In her role, she oversees a residential community, supervises Resident Assistants, and is dedicated to fostering student growth through leadership development, community building, and meaningful campus engagement. Sojourner earned both her Bachelor of Science degree and Master of Business Administration from Rochester Institute of Technology. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Higher Education with a focus on faith-based and private institutions. Her professional interests include student leadership development, residential education, and large-scale campus programming. Outside of work, Sojourner enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

The Queen’s Court staff consists of a master and an assistant master/faculty-in-residence, a resident director and five undergraduate resident assistants. The master and the assistant master also serve as academic advisers and counselors for residents.

Elijah Smith is a Central New York native and he earned a dual B.S. in Human Resources Management and Information Systems from Le Moyne College, a Jesuit university in Syracuse, NY. Having served in many student leadership roles throughout his undergraduate years, Elijah is passionate about the holistic support, development, and mentorship of students as they navigate the many joys and challenges of college life. Elijah attributes his love for residential life and higher education to his years as an RA at Le Moyne and he looks forward to a long career of serving students and supporting the mission of higher education. Elijah is also a life-long Star Wars fan, avid traveler (16 countries and counting!), and roller coaster enthusiast.
