    This course is designed to present an overview of the law of crimes. Topics include theories on crime, the reasons why people commit crimes, the purpose of punishment, and specific types of crimes, such as Homicide and Robbery. In addition, the role of race will be discussed within the context of the administration of the criminal justice system.
