Living in O'Hare Hall, you are part of a dynamic residential college community designed to bridge academic and social life on Fordham's Rose Hill campus.

This three-wing, five-level complex houses 560 upperclassmen across 13 "neighborhoods," with a variety of room types and some of the most expansive communal spaces on campus.

What's in my room?

Shower/bathroom icon Private bathroom
Each double and triple bedroom has a private bathroom shared with the residents of an adjoining room. Occupants of single bedrooms share a bathroom with one other single bedroom occupant.
All rooms are furnished with a bed, desk, dresser, chair, and wardrobe or closet. Typical room dimensions are 12 x 20 feet. The majority of bedrooms are doubles, with a significant number of singles and a small number of triples.
Mattress and bedframe

The mattresses are sized at 36 x 76 inches and up to 26 inches of storage space beneath each bed.

Internet and cable

Hard-wired Internet access and cable television are available for each student in their bedroom, in addition to wireless connectivity throughout the hall.

O'Hare Hall Residential College is also home to 3 Integrated Learning Communities:

  • O'Hare Hall offers 24-hour security for your personal safety. The building also has a comprehensive fire-safety system, including sprinklers and control panel with a public address system.

    O'Hare's staff consists of two resident directors, 13 resident assistants, and two Jesuits-in-residence. These staff members encourage all students to share in the goals of living in a residential college and of a Jesuit education, helping residents develop a sense of community and citizenship that will serve them well beyond graduation.

    A native of Brooklyn, New York, Sojourner Coles has served as a Resident Director in the Office of Residential Life at Fordham University for nearly four years. In her role, she oversees a residential community, supervises Resident Assistants, and is dedicated to fostering student growth through leadership development, community building, and meaningful campus engagement. Sojourner earned both her Bachelor of Science degree and Master of Business Administration from Rochester Institute of Technology. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Higher Education with a focus on faith-based and private institutions. Her professional interests include student leadership development, residential education, and large-scale campus programming. Outside of work, Sojourner enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Housing rates for the 2026-2027 academic year

Rates are for the nine-month academic year and include all utilities, cable television, telephone service, laundry, and membership to the Lombardi Fitness Center. These rates do not include the residence hall activity fee. Room configurations and rates are subject to change. 

All residents in this dormitory are required to have a meal plan.
