About Facilities Management
Facilities Management provides comprehensive building and landscape maintenance services to Fordham University schools and departments throughout the Lincoln Center, Rose Hill and Westchester campuses. Our services are tailored to meet the changing needs of our customers who occupy a wide variety of facility types, ranging from laboratory and teaching environments to libraries and residential buildings.
Building Maintenance Services
A large onsite workforce of skilled technicians provides preventive and corrective maintenance for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in all building types.
Capital Programs and Planning
Capital Programs and Planning provided the University with professional services in the areas of:
- Design, development and management of the university's infrastructure and utilities
- Oversight of the infrastructure, systems, utilities requirements for construction projects, energy management, renovations and remodeling, including capital projects
- Oversight of projects with outside contractors
- Compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Landscape Services
Grounds workers and horticulturists perform comprehensive care and maintenance of campus landscape and hardscape systems.
Campus Operations
The Department of Campus Operations provides cleaning services to administrative and academic offices, research labs, and all residence halls on campus. We clean 42 campus buildings consisting of 3.7 million square feet and serve approximately 14,000 students and 677 faculty and administrators. In order to facilitate the educational process, our goal is to provide sanitary buildings and a healthy living and work environment for the University community.
Daily scheduled cleaning is performed Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. We also have emergency personnel available at all other times to provide non-routine services.
Moving Services
The Department of Campus Operations coordinates moving services to assist Administrative and Academic departments with the relocation of furniture, equipment, and/or boxes. To ensure your move can take place according to your request, all moving services should be scheduled as far in advance as possible.
Recycling and Waste Removal
Recycling collection, surplus material redistribution, as well as trash removal and disposal services provided to all campus areas.
