Commencement for the Class of 2020
Congratulations Class of 2020!
Videocast of the University Commencement Ceremony
Though the coronavirus pandemic made it necessary to postpone the traditional pomp and circumstance, Fordham’s video webcast of the 175th Commencement recognized more than 5,500 graduates, many of whom celebrated in their own homes while tuning in. The University plans to hold an in-person Commencement on campus when public health officials and the governor deem it safe to do so.
Colleges and Schools Recognition Pages
Each school or college has their own recognition page. These pages list all of the graduates from each school or college and include a message from the dean. Each graduate in the Class of 2020 was also given the opportunity to provide a photo and personal message to appear on the recognition page.
Baccalaureate Mass for the Class of 2020
Members of the community joined together virtually in prayer and celebration during the videocast of the Baccalaureate Mass! The Mass is available on-demand.
The Mass included a special homily by and honorary degree presentation to Father James Martin, S.J. Father Martin is editor-at-large of America magazine and is a New York Times best-selling author of several books, including The Jesuit Guide to (Almost) Everything and Building a Bridge.
You did it! Four years of hard work and hard play sprinkled throughout. This graduation certainly looks different, but it is your class that will change the world. Keep your head up, Class of 2020, your ‘Pomp and Circumstance’ moment is coming!
