Fordham University is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We are diligently working towards making sure our websites meet the Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act and the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. We are focusing on items in order of priority from A, AA, and AAA to ensure our websites are in compliance.
We use SiteImprove, a web-governance software that runs accessibility scans of the university website and produces weekly reports. The Online Communications team provides web editors with access to their accessibility reports. As items are resolved, it is reflected in the reports. We work closely with our IT department and our CMS vendor for all template fixes.
Please visit our Web Accessibility website which will be updated on an ongoing basis as we continue to resolve issues, and ensure our website meets compliance and is accessible to all. This content is also covered in our website training sessions that are conducted once a month, alternating campuses. Web accessibility training is available university-wide.
Should you encounter any issues with the Fordham University website, please report them to the Online Communications team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
