Health Center

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 Pandemic, University Health Services will provide medical care following the guidance established by the New York State Department of Health and Centers for Disease Control. UHS will provide a combination of remote telemedicine visits, in person visits, and telephone visits for the fall 2020 semester to meet the needs of students, while trying to maintain social distancing and limiting face-to-face contact as recommended. We are advising students to call ahead to schedule an initial telemedicine or telephone visit. Students who need a visit in the office will be scheduled for an in person visit. Students may be managed remotely, while others may be advised to come into the office for an in person visit. Some students may be referred to a local urgent care center or to a local emergency room for any acute medical problems needing immediate attention.

According to the CDC, if you are sick with COVID-19 or suspect you are infected with the virus that causes COVID-19, you should take steps to help prevent the disease from spreading to people in your home and community. If you think you may have been exposed to COVID-19 and develop a fever and symptoms, such as a cough or difficulty breathing, call University Health Services or your healthcare provider for medical advice. Most healthy people can treat mild illness at home. We are available to answer your questions or concerns.
