Due to the ongoing Covid-19 Pandemic, University Health Services will provide medical care following the guidance established by the New York State Department of Health and Centers for Disease Control. UHS will continue to ensure infection prevention and control measures are in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We will provide in-person visits including routine preventative care, physical examinations, immunizations, urgent care, and physical therapy. We may also use a combination of remote telemedicine visits and telephone visits to meet the needs of students who can not come to the office. We are advising students to call ahead to schedule their appointment.
Individuals experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or any other infectious disease should notify their healthcare provider before coming to the office. Individuals may be instructed to come at a different time or use a different entrance in order to prevent spreading infection. They may also be instructed to get a rapid Covid-19 test on campus prior to arrival. While seeking healthcare services, individuals must wear appropriate face coverings except when instructed to remove the covering by the healthcare provider and must practice hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette and comply with temperature checking and symptom screening.
According to the CDC, if you are sick with COVID-19 or suspect you are infected with the virus that causes COVID-19, you should take steps to help prevent the disease from spreading to people in your home and community. If you think you may have been exposed to COVID-19 and develop a fever and symptoms, such as a cough or difficulty breathing, call University Health Services or your healthcare provider for medical advice.
