Fall Visit Options

Student Taking a Stroll

You're invited to visit us online this fall! (Our current students are fully utilizing our campuses, so we're staying out of the way and not offering any in-person visits for now.)

We've got a lot planned for you!

Recently added: new Virtual Ram Sessions in November and December.

Here's what we recommend:

Good: Virtual Tour or an on-demand event, on your own time
Better: Live Guided Virtual Tour, led by our ambassadors
Even Better: Virtual Information Session or Virtual Hello, hosted by an admission counselor
Best: Virtual Ram Session or a virtual open house, with focused content
Ultimate: Visitor Series, connecting with us multiple times, in different ways

Of course, you're welcome to attend any event or more than one event. (See more about our Visitor Series below.)

For all live events, be sure to register on our Virtual Events calendar. Want to watch something now? Go to our On-Demand Events calendar.

We're still finalizing our visit plans for the spring, including Spring Preview and Admitted Student Days. Check back soon for more information!

Which event should I attend?

Identify what features matter most to you.

  • if you want a smaller event (they're capped at 30 guests);
  • if you want an evening event (6:30 p.m. in the Eastern time zone; otherwise offered at 9:30 a.m.).

  • if you want the most content, in an open house style format (choose your own schedule);
  • if you want to connect with many Fordham students, faculty, and staff;
  • if you want to learn more about a specific topic, such as majors or Financial Aid;
  • if you want a weekend event;
  • If you can only attend one event this fall.

Attend any event:

  • if you’re a high school senior, parent, or other family member.
  • if you’re a high school sophomore or junior, though we encourage you to attend Fall Preview;
  • if you’re an international student, though we have some special events just for you;

Virtual Ram Sessions

During a Virtual Ram Session, you can dig deeper into a particular topic. At each hour-long event, admission counselors will welcome you and other students and provide the latest news from Fordham. Then, they'll introduce a 10-minute recorded presentation, which is designed to give you a quick review of what it means to be the Jesuit University of New York. After that, our team will give a live presentation on the event's focused topic.

Throughout the presentations, and for a designated time at the conclusion of the presentations, you'll have the opportunity to chat with members of our team. You'll be able to see other students' questions and have your questions answered.

Virtual Open House

Designed for high school seniors, Fordham's Virtual Open House is our most-comprehensive online event of the fall, providing the most content and the most ways to engage live with Fordham students, faculty, and staff.

  • Students interested in our Lincoln Center (Manhattan) campus, should register for Open House on Saturday, October 17, 2020.
  • Students interested in our Rose Hill (Bronx) campus, should register for Open House on Sunday, October 18, 2020.

For the most information, go to our Virtual Open House page, where you can find the full weekend schedule, session descriptions, and registration links.

Virtual Fall Preview

This online event on Nov. 14 features live virtual walking tours—a novel way to see both of our campuses that we haven't offered before and won't again until the spring.

  • Our ambassadors will join us on Zoom as they show their favorite places on and around Fordham's Lincoln Center (Manhattan) and Rose Hill (Bronx) campuses.
  • You'll also hear live from Fordham's president—the favorite part of past events, according to our guests -- and you can get your questions answered in real time by Admission counselors.
  • Log in and join us any time between 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. EST on Nov. 14. Take a look at the full schedule so you don't miss anything.

Visitor Series

Each time you connect with us at a virtual event, you'll hear a new perspective and a different voice. Hopefully, you’ll get some new information and reinforce the things you already know.

Our suggested progression:

  • First, get the basics covered with a Virtual Information Session;
  • then, get specific questions answered at a Guided Virtual Tour and/or Virtual Hello;
  • next, dig deeper with a Virtual Ram Session;
  • finally, confirm you're on the right path by joining us at Open House or Fall Preview.

If you miss something along the way, see our list of on-demand events. We’ll post recordings of most of our presentations.

There's no finisher medal or "extra points" for creating your own Visitor Series, but we're certain you'll get something out of each event. We look forward to seeing you online!
