Jennifer Scarpati is an intellectual property attorney, specializing in the fields of patent and trademark law, with a concentration in litigation and counseling.  During her 15-year legal career, Ms. Scarpati has served in various roles, each with increasing responsibilities, including in-house counsel focusing on intellectual property matters.    She founded Scarpati Intellectual Property, LLC in 2018, and provides client services across patent, trademark, and copyright law, as well as corporate law and trade secrets.  Her clients range from solo inventors to large pharmaceutical corporations.

Ms. Scarpati has held Associate positions in the Intellectual Property departments of Frommer, Lawrence & Haug LLP; Ropes & Gray LLP; and Fish & Richardson PC.  She most recently served as Director of Intellectual Property for Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd., a global pharmaceutical firm.  
Ms. Scarpati was a recipient of the "NY Metro Rising Star Award" for 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016, and "Top 40 Intellectual Property Lawyers Under 40 in the State of New York" for 2013-2015.
Ms. Scarpati is also an Adjunct Professor of Law at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law where she has taught Patent Research & Methods, Remedies, Legal Analytics, and Legal Writing.  
Ms. Scarpati received a Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University and a Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, Order of the Coif, from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.
