Adjunct Professor of Law
Patricia Miller is the Deputy Assistant Chief of Trials for the Labor & Employment Division of the Office of the Corporation Counsel for the City of New York. As Trial Supervisor, Professor Miller is either on trial as lead trial counsel or is supervisor of over 30 attorneys when those attorneys are on trial or have trial related matters. Her work is almost exclusively in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Ms. Miller has represented at trial a number of high profile figures in the City of New York. Many of her trials have received media attention. In addition to serving as an Adjunct Professor at Fordham Law, Professor Miller has taught numerous CLE courses on trial technique and trial strategies; is an instructor for the ITAP program at Cardozo School of Law; and is an instructor for NITA. She has also been a PLI lecturer on litigating First Amendment employment cases.
Prior to her work with the Corporation Counsel, Professor Miller was a litigation associate for Cahill Gordon & Reindel in New York City, where she focused primarily on employment litigation. Before that, she clerked for the Honorable William M. Acker, Jr. in the Northern District of Alabama. Professor Miller is a graduate of Fordham University and the College of William & Mary, Marshall-Wythe School of Law.
Professor Miller is a member of the Second Circuit Courts Committee for the Federal Bar Council; a member of the National Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Bar Association; and a member of the Diversity Committee for the Corporation Counsel.
