ESL Immersion Programs

IALC Short-Term Immersion Programs strengthen English language proficiency by fusing academic study with real-life experience. From 10 days to 3 weeks, participants receive up to 15 hours of in-class English language instruction per week. Hands-on activities, interactive workshops, and guided excursions activate and reinforce language skills acquired in class.

  • The IALC Summer and Winter Institutes “Many Worlds, One City” combine intensive coursework with topical and engaging excursions in and around New York City.
  • The IALC Winter Holiday Institute “A Magical Christmas” is a special intensive language program inspired by the winter holiday season in New York.
  • The Fordham Academic Preparatory Institute is a rigorous program aimed at preparing young learners to succeed in American academic settings.
  • Through Customized Programs, the IALC partners with educational institutions and organizations to customize content-based language immersion courses according to specific topic areas or learning objectives. Contact the IALC for more information.
