Internships and Mentorships for Fashion Studies

Internships

Students minoring in Fashion Studies are eligible to enroll in a three-credit Fashion Internship course (FASH 3800) that will count towards their elective credits. Students looking to find an internship should consult the Fashion Studies advisor or the Office of Career Services.

Fordham students have previously held internships at Louis Vuitton, Diane von Furstenberg, Calvin Klein, Marc Jacobs, Elizabeth & James, Helmut Lang, Reem Acra, Christian Dior, Vera Wang, Michael Kors, Altuzarra, Zac Posen, Stuart Weitzman, Tory Burch, Giorgio Armani, Stella McCartney, The Row, Ralph Lauren, Giorgio Armani, Estee Lauder, FENTY, Puma, Barney's New York, Bloomingdale's, Saks Fifth Avenue, Lord & Taylor, Brooks Brothers, Kleinfeld Bridal, Rent The Runway, Nylon Magazine, and countless more.

Fashion Mentorship Program

The Fordham Fashion Family is a network of Fordham alumni that work in the fashion industry. Each year, members of the Fordham Fashion Family and Fashion Studies minors are encouraged to register for participation in the mentorship program. This past year over 45 students were matched with alumni mentors working in buying, merchandising, marketing, planning, management, law, finance, creative directing, branding, and more at companies including Gucci, Chanel, The Row, Ann Taylor, Hermès, Bloomingdales, CELINE, Vogue, Glamour, KITH, Saks Fifth Avenue, Instagram, Hearst Magazines, Century 21, Intermix, Calvin Klein, Macy's Hugo Boss, Ross, Michael Kors, and MAC Cosmetics.
