The University will rely upon the same COVID-19 protocols in the spring semester as it did in the fall, including requiring CDC-recommended face masks in all public spaces on campus, social distancing, and monthly universal testing. As in the fall, you will be required to use VitalCheck to verify your COVID-19 status.
There do not appear to be any cases of classroom spread at Fordham; most virus transmission occurs in social settings.
Now is not the time to let your guard down: it will be months before there will be a large enough vaccine supply to serve the general public. You should continue to wear a mask, and practice physical distancing of six feet when in public, on campus and off.
According to the CDC, new variants of the virus seem to spread more easily and quickly than other variants: even if you have been vaccinated or have tested positive for antibodies, you should continue to observe COVID-19 precautions.
We track the number of COVID-19 positive cases on Fordham's COVID-19 Dashboard.
We remember the members of the Fordham community and close relatives of Fordham family members who died in the coronavirus pandemic.
