Phase One: The Addition

Our new campus center represents an expansive act of renewal: We’re combining and transforming the McGinley Center, Lombardi Center, and Rose Hill Gym, and adding more than 80,000 square feet of space. The new center also embodies a truly cura personalis approach to the student experience, with environments that encompass students’ full developmental, social, professional and recreational needs.

The addition, opened in January 2022, added 80,000 square feet to the front of the original McGinley Center and features a state-of-the-art fitness center in the lower level that is double the space of the current fitness center, a 9,500-square-foot student lounge on the first floor, expanded offices dedicated to Career Services, Campus Ministry, and the Center for Community Engaged Learning, and a large, versatile space on the third floor specifically designed for meetings and special events.

Phase Two: The Arcade 2022-2023

In the second phase of construction, an arcade will be built to envelop the space currently separating the new addition and the original McGinley Center from the Rose Hill Gym and the Lombardi Center. It will be the most dramatic element of the new campus center, featuring a large indoor space bathed in natural light from above.

Phase Three: The Renovation 2023–2025

In the third phase of construction, the interior spaces of the original McGinley Center will be renovated to feature:

  • A completely upgraded, reimagined, and redesigned Marketplace dining area with expanded menu choices
  • Bigger and better spaces and meeting rooms for student clubs and organizations, including a Multicultural Student Center
  • An expanded ballroom with a new capacity of 800 people
  • A new, separate strength and conditioning center dedicated to Fordham Athletics

A Focus on Dining

Fordham has made steady improvements in its dining offerings; now we’ll have a dining space worthy of our culinary ambitions. The existing Marketplace dining area will be completely upgraded, reimagined, and redesigned, with more menu choices to accommodate special preferences and dietary and nutritional needs.
