Michael Trerotola

Michael R. Trerotola joined Fordham in 2011 and currently serves as chief of staff to President Tania Tetlow. In this role, he serves as a key member of the president’s senior leadership team and supports the president on a wide range of strategic initiatives, policies, and programs for the University. He previously served as the assistant university secretary and, from 2015 to 2022, he was also special assistant to Joseph M. McShane, S.J., then president of Fordham.

Trerotola spent four years in the Division of Development and University Relations at Fordham as an event planner in both the alumni relations and special events offices. During his time in the development division, he was a member of the Jesuit Advancement Administrators Executive Committee. Before joining Fordham as an administrator, he began his career at the Walt Disney World Resort.

He earned a Ph.D. in educational leadership, administration, and supervision from Fordham’s Graduate School of Education. His research focuses on diversity officers in Catholic higher education. Trerotola also holds a B.S. in marketing and an M.B.A. from Fordham’s Gabelli School of Business. He is a member of the Alpha Sigma Nu and Phi Kappa Phi honor societies. He also served for eight years as the advisor to Fordham’s Alpha Sigma Nu chapter.
