Academic Publications

The Orthodox Christian Studies Center offers several publishing avenues for scholarship on the history, thought, and culture of Orthodox Christianity.

The Center publishes two book series with Fordham University Press: Orthodox Christianity and Contemporary Thought, edited by Co-Director Aristotle Papanikolaou and Ashley Purpura (Purdue University), and Christian Arabic Texts in Translation, edited by Stephen J. Davis (Yale University).

The Center also underwrites the series Coptic Studies in Historical and Cultural Context, edited by Febe Armanios (Middlebury College) and Angie Heo (University of Chicago), published by the American University in Cairo Press.

In 2018, the Center launched the Journal of Orthodox Christian Studies, a double-blind peer-reviewed scholarly journal publishing leading scholarship on all aspects of Orthodox Christianity.

Looking for publications aimed at a broader audience? We invite you to read and/or contribute to the Center's popular online editorial forum, Public Orthodoxy.
