  • Elisabeth Meier Tetlow holds a Doctor of Law degree and five Master of Arts degrees in philosophy, theology, biblical studies, and Semitic languages. She is the author of numerous works, including Women and Ministry in the New Testament (Paulist Press, 1980); Partners in Service: Toward a Biblical Theology of Christian Marriage (University Press of America, 1983); The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola (College Theology Society/UPA, 1987); Women, Crime and Punishment in Ancient Law and Society (2 vols., Continuum/Bloomsbury, 2004–2005); and The Journey of a Knightly Family (Wipf and Stock, 2024).

    She has an intellectual home in Fordham University’s Department of Theology and also serves as Scholar in Residence in the Department of Religious Studies at Loyola University New Orleans.
