Important Dates

Applications for Fall 2020 will be accepted between September 15, 2019, and March 15, 2020.

To qualify for our nonbinding Early Action program, an applicant must submit their completed application, including a valid LSAT score, by October 15, 2019.  For the Fall 2020 application, September 2019 is the last LSAT we will accept for the Early Action program. Any applicant who abides by these Early Action guidelines will receive a decision by December 15, 2019.

The last LSAT we were planning to accept for the Fall 2020 application was March 2020. If you were registered for the March LSAT and rescheduled for the LSAT-Flex in May or June due to COVID-19, we will honor those test dates.

Applications are reviewed in the order they're received, on a rolling basis, so it's advantageous to apply sooner rather than later. Generally, applications are processed within two weeks. Applicants can expect decisions within 6-8 weeks of their applications becoming complete. Applicants can view this date with the online status checker.

The Fall 2021 application will open on September 15, 2020.

Application Fee Waivers

In order to apply for a need-based fee waiver, you must fill out the fee waiver application. In addition to the completed form, please include a copy of one of the following documents: Pell award letter; most recent W-2; or current pay stub.

We're also happy to provide fee waivers for those who have served in the U.S. military, Teach for America, AmeriCorps, Peace Corps, and Jesuit Volunteer Corps. To be eligible, please submit a letter of service.

You can email (lawadmissions@fordham.edu), fax (212-636-7984), or mail materials to the Office of JD Admissions.

If approved for a fee waiver, you will receive a code via email so you can apply electronically through LSAC.

Fee waiver requests for Fall 2020 will be accepted between September 1, 2019, and March 13, 2020. Fee waivers codes expire on our deadline (March 15, 2020). For Fall 2021, we will start accepting fee waiver requests on September 1, 2020.

We do not offer CAS report fee waivers at this time.
