Transcripts and Diplomas

Requesting a Transcript

The following information pertains only to Law School students. All other students should contact Academic Records at 718.817.3900 or [email protected].

Transcript requests are not accepted by phone – there are no exceptions.  Transcripts cannot be released if the student has any holds on their account.

    • Unofficial PDF transcripts can only be requested via my.fordham.edu. For instructions,  read this guide and take careful note of Step 4
      • These requests are processed within 1-2 business days at no charge.
      • When the transcript is ready, students will receive an email from Law Transcripts ([email protected]) containing a link to their transcript that is stored in their Fordham Google Drive.
      • Please note, these requests can only be completed through my.fordham.edu as you will need access to your Fordham Gmail account to obtain your transcript once it is ready. If you have forgotten your username and password to www.fordham.edu, please click on the “Claim Account” Link under the Login button. For assistance with this process, please contact the Fordham Law Help Desk at (212) 636-6786 or [email protected].
  • Instructions

    • On my.fordham.edu, go to your Student Tab, and look for a box titled “Official eTranscript Request and Enrollment Verification” and click the link in that box. You will then be taken to a National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) landing page where you can access the eTranscript request.
    • If you no longer have access (or never had access) to the My.Fordham.edu portal, go to this link: https://tsorder.studentclearinghouse.org/school/ficecode/00272200/

    Eligibility

    • All Fordham University students and alumni who attended and completed all of their coursework after 1990 are eligible to request an eTranscript.
    • Students who completed any of their coursework prior to 1990 must use this Transcript Request Form and submit it to the Office of the Registrar.

    Processing Time, Holds and Delays

    • Typically, your eTranscript should be sent to your recipients within 30-90 minutes
    • If you have holds on your record that prevent transcript release, you will not be permitted to submit a request. Follow the instructions that accompany the notification of the hold to resolve the issue.
    • If your request cannot be matched to your student record at the time of your order, further research will be needed by the Office of the Registrar to positively identify your student record. Such research will add approximately 2-3 business days to your request, and is only conducted during normal business hours when the University is open. If such research determines that your student record has a hold, you will receive an email notification informing you of the needed action.
    • All eTranscript requests submitted with attachments must be reviewed by the Office of the Registrar staff, which will add approximately 2-3 business days to the processing time of your request. Review of attachment documents is only conducted during normal business hours when the University is in session.
  • Official and Unofficial Printed Transcripts

    • To request an official or unofficial printed transcript via my.fordham.edu., read this guide.
      • These requests will be processed within 7-10 business days at no charge.

      • Standard requests will be processed within 7-10 business days at no charge.
      • Expedited requests will be processed within 24 hours at a charge of $25.
