Requesting a Transcript

Due to the COVID-19 executive order in New York State, the processing of all hard copy (mailed or in-person pickup) transcripts is currently suspended.

Transcript requests are not accepted by phone – there are no exceptions.
Transcripts cannot be released if the student has any holds on their account.

Unofficial PDF Transcripts

  • Unofficial PDF transcripts can only be requested via my.fordham.edu. For instructions, please read through this guide and take careful note of Step 4
    • These requests are processed within 1-2 business days at no charge.
    • When the transcript is ready, students will receive an email from Law Transcripts (sys@fordham.edu) containing a link to their transcript that is stored in their Fordham Google Drive.
    • Please note, these requests can only be completed through my.fordham.edu as you will need access to your Fordham Gmail account to obtain your transcript once it is ready. If you have forgotten your Access IT ID & Password to my.fordham.edu, please click on the “Claim Account” Link under the Login button. For assistance with this process, please contact the Fordham Law Help Desk at (212) 636-6786 or lawhelpdesk@fordham.edu.

Official e-Transcripts

Instructions

  • On my.fordham.edu, go to your Student Tab, and look for a box titled “Official eTranscript Request and Enrollment Verification” and click the link in that box. You will then be taken to a National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) landing page where you can access the eTranscript request.
  • If you no longer have access (or never had access) to the My.Fordham.edu portal, go to this link: https://tsorder.studentclearinghouse.org/school/ficecode/00272200/

Eligibility

  • All Fordham University students and alumni who attended and completed all of their coursework after 1990 are eligible to request an eTranscript.
  • Students who completed any of their coursework prior to 1990 must use this Transcript Request Form and submit it to the Office of the Registrar.

Processing Time, Holds & Delays

  • Typically, your eTranscript should be sent to your recipients within 30-90 minutes
  • If you have holds on your record that prevent transcript release, you will not be permitted to submit a request. Follow the instructions that accompany the notification of the hold to resolve the issue.
  • If your request cannot be matched to your student record at the time of your order, further research will be needed by the Office of the Registrar to positively identify your student record. Such research will add approximately 2-3 business days to your request, and is only conducted during normal business hours when the University is open. If such research determines that your student record has a hold, you will receive an email notification informing you of the needed action.
  • All eTranscript requests submitted with attachments must be reviewed by the Office of the Registrar staff, which will add approximately 2-3 business days to the processing time of your request. Review of attachment documents is only conducted during normal business hours when the University is in session.
