Joseph Burke

Adjunct Professor of Law

Joe Burke is Chief Compliance Counsel at Dell Inc. He is responsible for providing legal counsel to Dell’s Global Ethics and Compliance team. He specializes in legal support for anti-corruption, trade compliance and antitrust.

Burke has previously provided extensive commercial legal support across all of Dell’s sales organizations, including, most recently, providing legal advice and counsel to the Public Business leadership team, with specific focus on the US Federal Government business.

During a two-year assignment as Director of Legal for Dell Canada Inc. in Toronto, Ontario, Burke performed the role of general counsel to the Dell Canada organization. While in Canada, Burke led a successful appeal to the Supreme Court of Canada on a consumer class action case.

Burke received his law degree in 1986 from the Fordham University School of Law in New York, N.Y., and a B.A. in 1982 in history and French from the University of Virginia.
