Canva is an online graphic design platform. Premium access is now exclusively available to currently enrolled Fordham students. Students can use Canva to create presentations, graphics, posters, videos, event flyers, or even social media content with their Fordham account.
As a currently enrolled Fordham student, you now have access to premium design tools through your Fordham account. Login via MyApps to get started.
Access Canva
- Open MyApps and select Canva under Common Apps.
- If you are already signed in to Fordham, you will be taken directly to Canva. Otherwise, complete Fordham authentication if prompted.
- On your first access, complete the brief onboarding questions.
- Canva will open the Students (Fordham) team home page.
- Use Students (Fordham) for your Fordham-provided Canva access.
*Important: Always login via MyApps and select the Canva icon.

The Premium Canva license is only available to currently enrolled Fordham students.

Current students can access Canva through MyApps. Select Canva from your Fordham apps. On first access, Canva may show a welcome screen and two brief onboarding questions. After onboarding, you are taken directly to the Students (Fordham) team home page.

Access Canva through MyApps to ensure you are using your Fordham Premium License.
- If you are already signed in to Fordham, selecting the Canva app may take you directly to your Canva account without requiring you to sign in again.
- If you open the MyApps Canva link in another browser, a private or incognito window, or after your Fordham session has expired, you will be redirected to Fordham’s Secure Access Login page.
If you are redirected to the Secure Access Login page:
- Enter your Fordham username and password, then select Login.
- Complete Fordham’s multi-factor authentication (MFA).
- After completing MFA, you will be redirected to Canva.
- Confirm that you are working in the Students (Fordham) workspace.

No. Your past designs will remain saved in your original Personal workspace. Your existing Personal workspace will remain available, so you may see both a Personal workspace and the Students (Fordham) Team in your account menu.
When you log in via MyApps, you gain access to the new Students (Fordham) workspace alongside your existing one. You can switch between them using the profile menu or copy individual designs directly into your new Student workspace.
Note: Canva accounts cannot be merged. Personal and Students (Fordham) remain separate Canva workspaces.

If you already had a Personal Canva workspace using your Fordham email, signing in through MyApps will take you directly to Students (Fordham). Your existing Personal workspace will still be available, so you may see both a Personal and Students (Fordham) Team in your account menu.

Yes. Canva lets you share designs and collaborate with others. Open the design, select Share, add the person, and choose the appropriate access level. For Fordham-related work, confirm that you are using the appropriate Students (Fordham) context and follow applicable University or course requirements.

Canva supports many common image, video, document, presentation, PDF, and spreadsheet formats. The format and size requirements vary by file type. Check Canva's current upload requirements before importing a file.

Yes. In the editor, use Share > Download and choose the file type that fits your design and intended use. A downloaded PDF, image, presentation, or video is a separate exported file; it is not the same as an editable Canva project.
