Information For Parents
Welcome, parents and families! We know how complicated it can be to finance your child's education, but we're here to help you find the payment options and financial aid resources that serve you best. Below are some of the most popular topics for families looking for guidance on the financing process.
-
Fordham offers payment options that can help make the expense more manageable.
You can choose a monthly payment plan as a simple and convenient way of dividing the annual cost of college over 10 months. This interest-free plan does not require a credit review.
You can also avoid tuition rate increases for two, three, and up to four years with Fordham’s Tuition Stabilization Plan by prepaying the tuition for future terms at the current tuition rate.
-
For your convenience, we offer various payment methods which will assist you in paying your tuition. Options include an electronic check (ACH payment), credit cards, and payment made directly through our electronic billing (E-Bill) portal, the E-Bill Suite.
-
The net price of your education is what you’ll actually pay for tuition, housing, and meals when you factor in your financial aid offers. Keep in mind that in addition to your direct charges, there are often indirect costs, such as textbooks and college supplies—Fordham can help you plan for these too with our Net Price Calculator.
-
To maximize your opportunities for scholarships and grants, we recommend you fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the CSS Profile. The CSS Profile is required to be considered for scholarships and grants from Fordham (and many other colleges), while the FAFSA helps determine the federal aid you can receive. These forms help Fordham understand your family’s financial situation and determine the types of aid you may be qualified to receive, which can help make college more affordable.
Remember, Fordham requires the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to disburse all types of aid, including merit-based scholarships.

The University makes provisions for students to allow third parties to view specific information on the Fordham portal through a process called Delegate Access. Students must use this process to allow third parties (including parents, guardians, family members, and sponsors) to communicate with Enrollment Group staff about the student's education record, financial aid, billing and academic progress. Students get to choose who gets access to each of those specific items. This access can be granted or revoked at any time.
