The Fordham Theatre program isn’t just an artistic community—it’s a premier incubator for new talent in the performing arts capital of the world.
Steps from Broadway and directly across the street from Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, you’ll learn from top artists and working professionals in the heart of NYC. Pursue excellence in your chosen concentration—acting, playwriting, directing, or design and production—while gaining a foundational understanding of the power of collaboration. Here, you’ll learn by doing, guided by mentors in the classroom, onstage, behind the scenes, and out in the world’s most vibrant theatre community.

Students have interned at places like the Public Theater, Roundabout Theatre Company, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Adventureland (the production company behind Hamilton), and Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.

At Fordham, you’ll use AI as a tool to enhance your learning. Our program will equip you with the skills to navigate the ever-changing landscape of AI in the workforce. As a theatre major, you might use AI to streamline design workflows, aid in memorization, or improve accessibility through means like captioning.
You’ll also be able to earn credentials and paid micro-internships through IBM SkillsBuild’s Getting Started with AI course. All Fordham students and graduates have access to AI training through RamConnect, the University’s alumni and experiential learning platform.
Above all, you’ll learn skills that can’t be replaced by AI, such as critical thinking, creativity, emotional intelligence, and integrity.
