Urban Plunge Move-In Logistics

Please Note: All Urban Plunge Students will move in on Wednesday, August 19th, from 9 am - 1 pm. Please disregard any email communications from Residential Life stating a different move-in time. Once accepted into the program, you are confirmed to move in on August 19th.

Below, please refer to the appropriate campus and housing status that applies to you!

  • Urban Plunge Registration & Check In Location

    Parking Lot A/Matteo Ricci Circle: 2691 Southern Boulevard Bronx, NY 10458

    • Registration and Move-In is from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM. 
      • We are staggering move-in times within this window for both campuses to allow for a smooth flow. Expect an email before the program starts with your respective move-in time.
      • Upon arrival, you will receive a welcome package at registration. 
      • All students must complete their Urban Plunge Registration at their designated location, regardless of residential status. Commuter students have been informed of this, and should know what time to arrive to campus by!

    Move-In Logistics

    • After completing your Urban Plunge Registration in the parking lot, you will go to Loyola Hall to get your ResLife assignment.
        • From Loyola, you may drive to your assigned dorm to drop off any large items. All residence hall parking spaces will be for drop-off only. Once all materials are dropped off, cars must be parked in the garage. We will have move-in bins available for your convenience. Urban Plunge Assistants will also be stationed around campus to help make the move-in process go smoothly! 
          • If you are arriving in a hired vehicle, a van will assist you in getting materials to your assigned dorm to drop off your items.

    Family Lunch & Activity Fair

    • 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM at Martyr’s Lawn
      • Enjoy a boxed lunch (provided by Urban Plunge), DJs, lawn games, photo booths, local community vendors, raffle prizes, and the Wall of Well Wishes, where Plungers’ loved ones can leave them a note!

    Commissioning Ceremony

    • 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM at the University Church
      • The official welcome ceremony to Fordham and Urban Plunge for students and families, featuring reflections and the UP Pledge.
      • Note: Families say goodbye to their Plungers at the conclusion of the ceremony.

    • Registration and Move-In is from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM. 
      • We are staggering move-in times within this window for both campuses to allow for a smooth flow. Expect an email before the program starts with your respective move-in time.
      • Upon arrival, you will receive a welcome package at registration. 

    Move-In Logistics 

    • After completing your Urban Plunge Registration at McKeon Hall, you will also get your keys and you will complete your ResLife check-in. 
      • If you are a McKeon resident, you will unload your belongings and there will be helpers on campus to further assist you. The move-in process will be drop-off only. We will have move-in bins available for your convenience, with Urban Plunge Assistants ready to help! After unpacking, you may park your vehicles. 
    • For parking at Lincoln Center, refer here. 
      • If you are a McMahon resident, you will drive to your dorm to drop off any large items. The move-in process will be drop-off only. We will have move-in bins available for your convenience, with Urban Plunge Assistants ready to help! After unpacking, you may park your vehicles.

  • Please arrive at your respective campus by 12:00 PM on Wednesday, August 19. Your family is more than welcome to join you to stay and attend our family activity fair and commissioning ceremony!

    Lincoln Center Check-In will take place at McKeon Hall, 150 W 62nd St, New York, NY 10023.

      • The LC Family Activity Fair will occur in Fordham Lincoln Center’s Plaza from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM. 
      • The LC Commissioning Ceremony will occur in McNally/Platt from 3 pm - 4 pm in Fordham’s Lowenstein building. 

    Rose Hill Check-In will take place at Parking Lot A/Matteo Ricci Circle, 2691 Southern Boulevard Bronx, NY 10458.

    For parking at Rose Hill, you are encouraged to enter at the address listed above and coordinate with Public Safety.

      • The RH Family Activity Fair will occur on Martyr’s Lawn from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM. 
      • The RH Commissioning Ceremony will occur in Fordham’s University Church from 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM.
