Catholic Women Speak is inspired by both the Global Synod’s discernment of the role of women in the Church and the desire to uplift Catholic women in our community who live a variety of vocations. In 2026, our world feels heavy, marked by division and fear. But our story does not end here. We invite you into the practice of groundedness, joy, and community so that, together, we can ask, “What can resistance look like, and how can we practice it as women of faith?” As we strive to cultivate the fruits of justice from the seeds of hope, Catholic Women Speak 2026 seeks to participate in the vital work of community-building and action. Speakers include Dr. Mary Kate Holman, Martha Hennessy, and the Rev. Dr. Meg Stapleton Smith among others, with preaching by Dr. Natalia Imperatori-Lee.

All are welcome to join us in celebrating Holy Week at Fordham in April. Lent ends on April 2nd, (Holy Thursday) and The Sacred Triduum follows, encompassing Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday, ending with Easter Sunday. These are among the holiest days of the Church’s liturgical year. Though the liturgies are celebrated over the course of “three days,” they commemorate one single “Paschal” or “Passover” event.
