Brittany Vasta is a Brooklyn based scenic designer for live performance. Her creative curiosity seeks out patterns to connect the intimacy of moment to moment storytelling with the epic of environmental gesture. Before teaching at Fordham she had the pleasure to design several shows here: Fucking A, directed by Dawn Saito; Aulis, directed by May Adrales; Dance Nation, directed by Sanaz Ghajar; and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, directed by Ryan Quinn. This fall she will be collaborating with Ryan again on Fordham’s production of The Tempest. Some recent projects include the NY off broadway premier of Kate Hamill’s new play The Light and the Dark (Primary Stages) as well as Julia May Jonas’s A Woman Among Women (Bushwick Starr) which will be remounting at LCT3 next summer.
