Emily Rebholz is a New York based costume designer working in Theater and Opera. Emily graduated with a BA from Northwestern University and holds an MFA from Yale 2006.
Emily ‘s Broadway credits include Gutenberg! The Musical! directed by Alex Timbers. Jagged Little Pill with music by Alanis Morissette and Glen Ballard; Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune starring Audra McDonald and Michael Shannon; Getting the Band Back Together; Indecent by Paula Vogel; the Tony award winning production of Dear Evan Hansen; Oh, Hello starring Nick Kroll and John Mulaney; If/Then starring Idina Menzel, the Tony award winning Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike; and Bloody, Bloody, Andrew Jackson.
In New York her work has been seen at Theater for a New Audience, The Public Theater, Lincoln Center, Manhattan Theater Club, Second Stage, Signature Theater, New York Theater Workshop, The Vineyard, Playwright’s Horizon, Atlantic Theater Company, Roundabout Theater, Classic Stage Company, the Women’s Project and she is a frequent collaborator with The Civilians theater company.
Regionally Emily’s design credits include: The MUNY, Stages St. Louis, The Goodman Theater, The Mark Taper Forum, La Jolla Playhouse, The Old Globe, Williamstown Theater Festival, Yale Rep, Shakespeare Theater Company, as well as opera designs at Opera Theater of St. Louis, The Santa Fe Opera, Cincinnati Opera, and Opera Philadelphia.
Emily has been nominated for numerous awards including a Tony Nomination for Jagged Little Pill, multiple Lucille Lortel and Henry Hewes Award Nominations, a Henry Hewes award for The Low Road at the Public and a St. Louis Circle Award for Chicago at The MUNY.
