Biography
Graceann Beckett is a Ph.D. student in Systematic Theology. Originally from southern Ohio, her theological vocation was inspired by the vibrant faith community in which she was raised and nurtured—Our Lady of Lourdes parish of Otway—and its abrupt closure in 2020. Born of her lived experience and the questions it continues to raise, her academic interests include contemporary ecclesiology, the Catholic Church in Appalachia, synodality, and ethnography. In addition, Graceann’s work with the Dorothy Day Guild and the Catholic Worker Movement has shaped her life, faith, and intellectual pursuits significantly.
Graceann loves spending time with her friends, reading, journaling, cooking, making and drinking coffee, and traveling.
