Access the WiFi Network
Use the information below to connect and configure your wireless device. If you need assistance, contact IT Customer Care.
Accessing Fordham’s wireless network for the first time is a simple, one-time, process that will take only a few minutes to complete. Follow the instructions for your device.
Fordham supports a few different wireless networks. For specific information regarding the features of each network, consult the Wifi Network Comparison chart.
All users of Fordham WiFi resources must adhere to the University’s Acceptable Uses of IT Infrastructure and Resources Policy, which is available on the University’s web pages. Certain devices and activities are prohibited from the wireless network. For current guidelines, consult the acceptable use policy for the wireless network.
Note: Fordham's wireless network only supports devices that use a 5 GHz connection. Adaptors are available for students, faculty, and staff with laptops that do not support 5GHz. Contact IT Customer Care if you would like an adapter. (You will need to bring your laptop to the ITCC in order to have the adapter installed.)
Visitors to campus may use either the Fordham-P or FordhamGuest network. The Fordham-P network is more secure than the FordhamGuest network, which is intended for the convenience of campus visitors. FordhamGuest provides unprotected and insecure access to the Internet, allows basic web browsing, and is limited to Internet-available services. Do not use the network for the exchange of sensitive or personal information. All Fordham community members should use any of the other networks described below.
