CPC Main Office Hours

Monday - Thursday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.*

Friday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.**

*On Wednesdays during the Fall and Spring Semesters when classes are in session, hours will extend until 6:30 p.m. for Evening Students.

**On Fridays during Fall and Spring Semesters when employers are interviewing on campus, hours will extend until 6 p.m.

Students and alumni are welcome to schedule counseling appointments by calling 212-636-6926. In addition, the CPC maintains drop-in hours for students and alumni with quick questions (15 min. maximum). Students and alumni may visit the CPC Main Office or call the main number 15 minutes prior to the start of a drop-in hour to schedule a time to speak with a counselor.

Drop-In Hours

Drop In Hours are designed to assist JD Students and JD Alumni by providing quick answers to brief career-related questions. One CPC Counselor is available for drop ins each drop in hour. To speak with a CPC Counselor you may either visit the CPC in person (Suite LL-100) or call at 212-636-6926.

  • Monday to Thursday: 12 - 1 p.m.; 2 - 3 p.m. and 5 - 6 p.m.

Resource Library Hours

The CPC also has a Resource Library which houses job search books, computers, a copier, a Pharos printer and fax machine. The Resource Library is managed by our Resource Associate who is happy to assist students and alumni with their job search needs.

Academic Year 2019-2020

During the Academic Year the CPC is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Hours extend to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays during the Fall and Spring Semesters. 

Fordham Law School and CPC are closed on the following dates:

 Martin Luther King Jr., Presidents Day, Easter Recess, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving Recess, and Winter Recess.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Career Planning Center is to empower and support the JD students and JD alumni of Fordham Law in their career-related endeavors. The CPC fulfills its mission by providing effective guidance and counseling to JD students and JD alumni so that they may engage in meaningful job searches, develop as professionals, and make informed career-related choices leading to long-term career satisfaction. To accomplish these goals, members of the career planning staff begin their relationship with JD students in mid-October of the first year and are available to them throughout their careers.
