Eligibility
Financial aid is available to U.S. citizens and eligible non-citizens. State, federal, and institutional aid is determined by estimated family contribution, enrollment status, academic performance, and availability of funds. See our net price calculator for a preliminary estimate of federal, state, and institutional aid eligibility.
TIP: Make sure Fordham has your correct social security number on file and that you file both the FAFSA and CSS Profile using the name and number printed on your social security card.

How to Apply
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and CSS Profile to receive maximum consideration for all types of aid, including Fordham grants and scholarships. To be considered exclusively for federal aid, only the FAFSA is required.
In early action, students apply early and receive a decision well in advance of the University’s regular response date. Early action is a non-binding application plan (i.e., students are not required to enroll if admitted).
What to Expect as an Early Action Applicant - Admitted applicants who complete the Early Action financial aid process by January 4 will have their financial aid offer on or after February 1.
- Admitted applicants who do not complete the process for an early offer by January 4, can still file by February 1, for review during the regular decision financial aid application process.
In early decision, students make a commitment to a first-choice institution where, if admitted, they will definitely enroll. Early decision is a binding application plan (i.e., students must enroll if admitted and withdraw any other pending applications). The Early Decision Agreement is an additional requirement to be signed by the student, parent/guardian, and counselor.
In regular decision, students submit an application by a specified date and receive a decision in a clearly stated period of time, typically no later than April 1. Regular decision is a non-binding application plan.
We accept applications for spring first-year admission. The deadline is November 1.
