At Fordham, we don’t ask, “What do you want to be?”

We ask, “Who do you want to be?”

Pursue your passions at Fordham, and we’ll help you find your path to success—transforming yourself and the world around you.

Professional Academic Advising

Our academic advisors at all three of our colleges—Fordham College at Rose Hill, Fordham College at Lincoln Center, and the Gabelli School of Business—aim to prepare you to declare your major and take part in study abroad programs, undergraduate research, internships, and more. Our goal is to help you discover your talents and passions by exploring the numerous opportunities available to you.

$1.5 Million for Undergraduate Research

You might have your research funded by the National Science Foundation as a paid summer job, or you could end up co-authoring an article with your professor in a professional academic journal. Each spring, 300-plus students exhibit their work at our on-campus research symposia—covering subjects from biology and psychology to dance and English.

70+ Majors and Minors

Neuroscience, journalism, finance, dance—these are just some of the majors and minors available to you across our three undergraduate colleges. Regardless of your major, our core curriculum will allow you to explore potential interests and broaden your perspectives, all while teaching you valuable skills to set you up for your future career.

14:1 Student-to-Faculty Ratio

Our classes are small and interactive, and our faculty are accessible and genuinely interested in providing advice. Our goal is to help you feel encouraged and supported throughout your time here.

3,500 Partners in Our Internship Program

Our Career Center helps students discover what they want their next steps to be through career counseling, workshops, programs, partnerships, and other resources. Our location in the heart of New York City also gives us incredible access to leaders in technology, business, media, and the arts. Our students hold internships while also taking classes, so you’ll have opportunities to tie your academic studies to real-world experience.

96% Placement Rate

For the Class of 2022, 96% of our most recent graduates were employed, enrolled in graduate or professional school, engaged in public service, or pursuing other meaningful endeavors within six months of graduation.

No matter their field, our graduates go out into the world to pursue meaningful careers and build lives that reflect Fordham’s spirit of passionate engagement. Our graduates emerge as people of competence, conscience, compassion, and commitment to the cause of the human family, and are ready to make a difference in the world.
