The Law School's Office of Professionalism is organizing a number of wellness-related events during the Fall 2026 semester that include an opportunity for employer sponsorships:
- Mindfulness Matters
- Wellness Walk
- Wellness Week Prizes
- Deveoping Healthy Habits Workshop
- Gratitude Week Study Breaks
The details of each are listed below, including relevant dates.
Mindfulness Matters
In this workshop, students will learn the mental and physical benefits of mindfulness and will have a chance to practice different techniques. This workshop will take place on October 5, 2026.
The fee to sponsor this program is $500. Employers interested in sponsoring this program should email Maya FitzGerald Gobes, Director of Professionalism ([email protected]) no later than 1 p.m. on Monday, September 21, 2026, indicating their interest. In the event that multiple employers express an interest in sponsoring the activity, the Office of Professionalism will conduct a lottery to determine which employer will garner the sponsorship. All employers who expressed interest will receive an email by 5 p.m. on Friday, September 25, 2026, informing them whether they’ve been selected for this sponsorship.
Wellness Walk
During Fordham Law Wellness Week, students will be encouraged to get outside for a walk led by various faculty members. Nutritious snacks will be provided. This program is designed to promote physical wellness and give students an informal opportunity to connect with various members of the community. The walk will take place on October 6, 2026.
The fee to sponsor this program prizes is $500. Employers interested in sponsoring it should email Maya FitzGerald Gobes, Director of Professionalism ([email protected]) no later than 1 p.m. on Monday, September 21, 2026, indicating their interest. In the event that multiple employers express an interest in sponsoring the activity, the Office of Professionalism will conduct a lottery to determine which employer will garner the sponsorship. Wellness Week Prizes
In the Fordham Law "Inter-House Wellness Competition," students can earn wellness-related prizes by participating in Wellness Week programs as well as challenges and competitions designed to promote self-care. Participating students (primarily 1Ls) earn a point for their House every time they attend a program. At the end of the week, the House with the most points is crowned the "Wellness Week Champion," and every student in that House who participated in a Wellness Week event receives a prize, “courtesy of ___________ LLP.” (Last year, the students in the winning House received a water bottle, customized to commemorate their victory.)

Developing Healthy Habits Workshop
In this workshop, participants will learn strategies for integrating healthy habits into their busy schedules, and they will be provided with tools to support well-being while managing the rigors of law school. The workshop will take place on October 8, 2026.
The fee to sponsor this workshop is $500. In the event that multiple employers express an interest in sponsoring the workshop, the Office of Professionalism will conduct a lottery to determine which employer will garner the sponsorship. Gratitude Week Study Breaks
In anticipation of Thanksgiving, and recognizing the myriad benefits of gratitude, Fordham Law will be hosting Gratitude Study Breaks each day during the week of November 17. There will be a "Wall of Thanks" on which students are invited to post a note stating what they are grateful for, and seasonal treats, including warm apple cider and baked goods, will be served. There will be five study breaks throughout the week.
The fee to sponsor one Gratitude Study Break is $1,000. Sponsoring employers are invited to send an organization poster, marketing materials for students, and/or a small assortment of giveaways, such as stress balls, highlighters, Post-It notepads, etc., to be provided to students.
Employers interested in sponsoring a Gratitude Week Study Break should email Maya FitzGerald Gobes, Director of Professionalism ([email protected]) no later than 1 p.m. on Monday, October 26, 2026, indicating their interest. In the event that the number of interested employers exceeds the number of Study Breaks, the Office of Professionalism will conduct a lottery to determine which employer will garner the sponsorships. All employers who expressed interest will receive an email by 5 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2026 , informing them whether they’ve been selected for this sponsorship and, if so, which Study Break date they have been assigned.
