Daniella A. Schmidt is a litigator and trial attorney with over a decade of experience representing a wide variety of commercial litigation matters, white-collar investigations, and regulatory defense matters for high-profile clients across a variety of industries. In her current practice, she focuses on tax controversy and employment discrimination disputes. In that capacity, Ms. Schmidt represents an over five-thousand member plaintiff class in the remedial phase of a Title VII class action. Prior to serving as Counsel in Crowell & Moring's Litigation and Tax Controversy groups, Ms. Schmidt served as a Senior Attorney at the Brooklyn Defender Services on behalf of parents against unreasonable state intervention. Ms. Schmidt previously clerked for Judge Victor Marrero of the SDNY. She has an active pro bono practice and serves on the Brooklyn Defender Services Family Defense Practice Associate Advisory Board.
