Michael Glanzer

Adjunct Professor of Law

Michael Glanzer is the founding partner of Glanzer & Co. LLC.  He has provided financial advice and capital raising in domestic restructuring, privatization and acquisitions. Mr. Glanzer has been a financial advisor in most of the airline restructurings and in other industries in the US, including steel, paper, mining, automotive manufacturing, grocery, telecom and trucking. Mr. Glanzer has also worked on foreign restructurings in South Africa, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Argentina, Hong Kong, and New Zealand. Current activities focus on various new investments.

Earlier in his career Mr. Glanzer had also been a principal and member of the investment committees for two private equity funds. Mr. Glanzer earlier was a corporate attorney at Davis Polk & Wardwell.

Mr. Glanzer has been an Adjunct Professor New York University School of Law. Mr. Glanzer’s articles have been published in the Albany Law Review (privatizations as a form of restructuring) CCH Labor Law Journal (labor protections in restructurings), Trusts and Estates Magazine (using employee stock ownership plans to promote employee interests), WSI Mitteilungen (restructurings in Germany). El Nueva Dia (Puerto Rico governmental debt restructuring) and the New York State Bar Journal (voting rights).
