Michael Rasmussen

Michael Rasmussen is the Senior Advisor to the Dean at Fordham University School of Law, where he helps shape strategy, culture, and big-picture initiatives across the school. Michael leads major projects, guides policy development, and works closely with partners inside and outside the law school to keep things running smoothly and collaboratively.

He previously helped launch and build Fordham Law’s first online degree program, taking it from idea to execution and ensuring its continued growth and success. Before moving into legal education, Michael served as a KC-130J pilot and Legal Officer in the U.S. Marine Corps. That experience continues to inform his practical, team-focused approach to leadership.

In addition to his administrative work, Michael teaches as an adjunct professor at Fordham Law School. He is also committed to public service, serving as a Board Member and cooperating attorney for the Center on Conscience and War. Michael holds a J.D., cum laude, from Fordham Law, and a B.A. in Criminal Justice from Villanova. He is admitted to the New York Bar.
