Shashi K. Dholandas is a Co-Managing Partner at Bailey Duquette P.C. and is a member of the firm’s litigation and arbitration practice.
Mr. Dholandas is experienced in all aspects of commercial dispute resolution, including acting as counsel in international and domestic arbitrations under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR), the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and JAMS. He previously served as a Director and as International Case Counsel with the ICDR – the international division of the AAA – and ICDR Canada.
While at the ICDR, Mr. Dholandas administered over three hundred disputes involving parties from around the world. His work included advising arbitrators and counsel on diverse aspects of complex international arbitral procedure; reviewing and revising tribunal-issued emergency, interim, and final awards; and providing guidance on the interpretation of arbitration rules, on arbitral jurisdiction, and on arbitrator disqualification/challenges.
Prior to joining to Bailey Duquette P.C., Mr. Dholandas was Associate General Counsel with an international specialist broker of litigation and arbitration third party financing and risk insurance. He also gained experience with the litigation and arbitration practice of a large national law firm in India.
Mr. Dholandas is an active member of the international arbitration community and frequently presents on topics concerning arbitration practice.
